Hewitt commitment to innovation, and providing the solution to all work applications, has been further strengthened by the introduction LSD Ladder staging system range. The Hewitt’s LSD staging system ranges are ideal for use when replacing fascia boards, windows but can be used for a number of other trade and workplace situations where a high level platform is needed.

 The staging system kit consists of the following:

• A pair of aluminium brackets which fit onto any ladder *(Minimum EN131 trade ladders recommended) each Bracket has a main support arm and a adjustable telescopic strut which enables the support arm to be made horizontal. The brackets fit onto the rungs by means of a rung saddle each saddle has a 8mm hand wheel which enable the saddle to be locked onto the rung.
• Staging Board 600mm wide which can be purchased in a number lengths 2,3,4,5 Metres and all have a safe working load rating of 270kg in accordance with the requirements of bs2037 , They are robust and finished in Rhino board a non slip work surface
• Inner and outer corner posts which are fitted with zinc plated U-bolts which accept our 2″ (50mm) aluminium hand-rails and end rails, these posts also have L-bolts which if needed can secure toe boards in position
• Erection tees are included in the kit to help raise the staging board in position when erecting the staging system. The staging system can be erected in 6 minutes and taken down even quicker .

This simple secure high level staging system will work with your own ladders but it is recommended that your ladders are all in good working safe condition and you use a minimum EN131 trade ladder to support the system . It is also recommended that you secure your ladders in at the top and the bottom to prevent any accidents when using the system. One way to stabilise the ladders is by using ankalad stabilisers on each ladder this will prevent any ladder “bounce” and the combined use of the staging system with the ankalad ladder stabilisers will satisfy the requirements of the health and safety executive you can be assured you are buying a quality product that has been tested for strength and safety by the leading manufacture.
